Citrus Sugar Scrub
Need a pick-me-up? This zesty body scrub will blast away any mental cobwebs and you’ll leave your bathroom feeling refreshed and invigorated.
It’s also an incredibly easy DIY tutorial for newbies and will only take 5-10 minutes of your time.
This homemade sugar exfoliates away dead skin cells and leaves skin feeling pampered and moisturized.
Recipe:
- 2 cups white refined sugar
- 1 tablespoon almond oil
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 20 drops of lemon essential oil
- 20 drops of orange essential oil
Mix everything together in a medium sized bowl and till the yellow hue of the essential oils is spread out evenly. Store in an airtight glass container.
Tip: If your coconut oil is solid, put a tablespoon in a small bowl and then let it sit in a bigger bowl of hot water. Once it turns liquid, quickly mix it with the other ingredients.
Caution: As this scrub contains oil, your bathroom may end up very slippery so you might want to use some liquid soap to wash away the oil on the floor after you rinse off.
This lasts for a month and should be stored outside your bathroom away from moisture. Depending on how much you need each time, this amount can be used 3-4 times.
