Pear & Arugula Smoothie

Pear & Arugula Smoothie

If you feel like you’re in a green smoothie rut, you might want to spice things up by changing your greens. It’s also always a good idea to rotate your produce so you get a wider variety of vitamins and minerals.

Arugula is high in vitamins A, C, K, chlorophyll, iron, and has loads of fiber that helps your digestion to move along.

Recipe:

  • 1½ cup of water
  • 1 cup of arugula
  • 1 small ripe pear
  • 1-inch knob of ginger
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of flax seed meal
  • 1 scoop of Sparkle Skin Boost with Verisol

The sweetness of the pear and banana will balance out the peppery sharpness of arugula. If you love spicy smoothies, toss in some ginger and this green drink will definitely wake up your senses first thing in the morning.
