Pitaya Colada Smoothie

Pitaya Colada Smoothie

A tall glass of pina colada tastes like a decadent beach vacation but what if you could turn this classic cocktail into a beautifying breakfast smoothie?

The nutritional punch comes from the gorgeous pink-hued pitaya, or dragonfruit, that hails from Central America and Southeast Asia.

Pitaya has a lovely subtly tart flavor reminiscent of pear so it blends well with other fruit — you can’t go wrong with this delicious fruit.

Your skin will drink up all the wonderful antioxidants this smoothie has to offer, while the chia seeds, coconut milk and oil will moisturize your skin from the inside with their omega fatty acids, plus ginger to help squelch inflammation.

Our orange-flavored collagen peptide powder will also keep skin plump and smooth fine lines and wrinkles, plus feed your skin extra vitamin C.

Recipe:

  • 1 cup frozen pink pitaya
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • ½ frozen banana
  • ½ cup of coconut milk
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1-inch piece of ginger
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 scoop of Sparkle Skin Boost with Verisol

Put all the ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend till smooth. Pour in a glass and top with fresh pineapple chunks.
