What’s the difference between Skin Boost and Skin Boost Plus?

The key difference is the dosage of VERISOL® Collagen Peptides in the recommended serving.

In Skin Boost, there are 2.5g of VERISOL® Collagen Peptides per serving.

In Skin Boost Plus, there are there are 5g of VERISOL® Collagen Peptides per serving.

 

Can I take both Skin Boost capsules and powder at the same time?

The intention is that you take either the Powder or the Capsules on a given day, but not both. Many people buy the Powder for use at home, and then buy the Capsules for use when they travel.

While it is not intended that someone would take both the Capsule and Powder servings each day, if you want to increase your daily dosage of Collagen Peptides, there are no negative implications in taking both products simultaneously.

You should be aware that any excess of collagen peptides you ingest that your body cannot utilize will be excreted out of your system. In that sense, it could be a waste to be using both products each day.

 

What active ingredients are present in Sparkle?

The principle ingredient are VERISOL® Collagen Peptides, which have been clinically proven to reduce wrinkles and improve skin elasticity

Vitamin C aids in skin cells absorbing the collagen peptides, and of course there are the other well-known benefits that Vitamin C brings

Hyaluronic Acid - is included in the formulation of our Skin Boost Plus offering

 

Does Sparkle contain any animal by-products?

Yes, the principle ingredient is VERISOL® Collagen Peptides, which are a bovine-derived ingredient.

 

Is Sparkle gluten-free?

Yes, Sparkle is gluten-free.

 

Does Sparkle contain common allergens?

Sparkle does not contain dairy, eggs, lactose, soy, nuts, or fish, and as such is free from the more common allergens. However, if you are allergic to beef, please be aware that the collagen peptides are of bovine origin.

 

Is Sparkle kosher certified?

All the ingredients in Sparkle are kosher, however at current time we have not yet undertaken the process of having the whole product kosher certified.

 

Is Sparkle halal certified?

All the ingredients in Sparkle are halal however at current time we have not yet undertaken the process of having the whole product halal certified.

 

Does Sparkle contain GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms)?

Sparkle products do not contain any GMO ingredients however at current time we have not yet undertaken non-GMO certification for Sparkle itself.

 

How many calories does Sparkle have?

All Sparkle products are low calorie, though their calorie count varies from product to product. For example, Sparkle Skin Boost Plus Orange contains 18 calories per serve. The calorie count is noted on the Supplements Facts panel on each product.

 

Is there any sugar in Sparkle?

Sparkle products do not contain sugar, instead as a sweetener, some Sparkle products contain stevia, a natural zero-calorie sweetener.

 

Where do your ingredients come from?

Sparkle is manufactured in the USA with most ingredients also sourced from US manufacturers.  

 

How is Sparkle metabolized in the body?

The main ingredient in Sparkle, VERISOL®, is a specific composition of collagen peptides. Collagen peptides are rapidly digested and absorbed in the small intestine and reach the blood stream from where they are further distributed.

As our body is in constant turnover and has an on-going renewal processes, collagen fragments from the body are subjected to an enzymatic degradation process in the liver and transformed into single amino acids, dipeptides and oligopeptides. Free amino acids, which are not metabolized in the body will be excreted via the kidney.

 

I don’t like stevia, but can I still take Sparkle?

Although all of our flavored products contain stevia, we have Skin Boost and Skin Boost Plus in No Flavor. There is also a Skin Boost capsules version if you want an alternative to our powder supplements.

Product Effectiveness

Should I be taking Sparkle every day?

Ideally yes, Sparkle is most effective when you take it daily. We recommend incorporating it into part of your daily routine, say breakfast.

 

How much Sparkle should I take each day?

For the Capsules products, you should take five capsules once per day.

For the Powder products, you should take one serving spoon once per day, using the spoon that came in the bottle. Each tub of Sparkle ships with a serving spoon inside the tub. Note that serving sizes, and accordingly spoon sizes, vary from product to product, so you should always use the spoon that came with the product you are taking.

 

When is the best time of day to take Sparkle?

Anytime is good for both the capsules and the powder versions.

For the capsules, we recommend taking all five pills at once in the morning before or after your breakfast so you won't forget later in the day.

For the powder versions, we recommend taking it in water, tea, or a smoothie with your breakfast first thing in the morning so you won't forget later on in the day. Or, when mixed in water, you could also drink this as a tasty beverage on its own or with a meal.

 

How long will it take for me to see any results?

Typically around four weeks, though we have been told that people see results much faster for the Skin Boost Plus powders.

Clinical studies have revealed there is significant improvement to skin elasticity, and reduction in wrinkles in the skin when at least 2.5g of VERISOL® Collagen Peptides are taken daily.

The clinical studies were conducted by Gelita, the manufacturer of the VERISOL® Collagen Peptides.

A serving of Sparkle Skin Boost contains 2.5g per serving, being the amount that was used in the clinical studies.

A serving of Sparkle Skin Boost Plus contains 5g per serving, being twice the amount that was used in the clinical studies.

 

Who ran the clinical studies and what were the results?

The clinical studies were conducted by Gelita, the manufacturer of the VERISOL® Collagen Peptides.

The studies were monocentric, double-blinded, randomized, placebo controlled studies.

The results of the clinical studies can be summarized as:

Skin Elasticity

A study in higher skin elasticity was conducted with 69 women aged between 35 and 55 years old, revealed that VERISOL® leads to an average of 7% increase in skin elasticity compared to a placebo treatment.

For the sub-set of women in the study that were aged 50 years and over, the increase in skin elasticity was 15% compared to a placebo treatment.

This effect was measured after 4 weeks of daily intake and it was still the case when the women in the study were measured at 8 weeks and finally at 12 weeks.

Reduces Wrinkles

A second study done on the reduction of wrinkles involved 114 women between age 45 and 65 showed that the daily intake of VERISOL® significantly reduced wrinkles after 4 weeks and the collagen in the skin increased by 60%.

 

Have the structural claims "Reduces Wrinkles" and "Improves Skin Elasticity" proven in these clinical trials been audited and/or registered with the FDA?

At the request of Sparkle, nutritional experts have independently audited the clinical study results provided by Gelita, aiming to assess the ability based on those studies to substantiate the structural claims that Sparkle "Reduces Wrinkles" and "Improves Skin Elasticity".

The audit found that the approach taken in the clinical studies was appropriate, and the claims can be substantiated based on the results presented by the studies.

Further to this audit, based on the primary ingredient in Sparkle being VERISOL®, Sparkle's intended use of the marketing claims of "Reduces Wrinkles" and "Improves Skin Elasticity" have been formally submitted to the FDA through the FDA's Structural Claims Notification process.

 

Collagen cannot be absorbed by the skin. How does your product actually work?

It is correct that Collagen can not be absorbed directly by the skin because Collagen molecules are too large to pass through the epidermis when applied topically.

Sparkle supplements do not contain Collagen itself, but rather a concentration of sub-molecules of Collagen, known as Collagen Peptides.

Collagen Peptides are the building blocks that the skin uses to produce Collagen molecules within the skin.

Collagen Peptides are a small enough molecular size to be able to be ingested by the body to then become available to your skin cells as the nutrients that your skin cells will use to produce Collagen.

Health & Safety

Can I consume Sparkle while pregnant and or breastfeeding?

There are no expected or known contradictions in consuming Sparkle when pregnant or breastfeeding, however as this is a personal choice, we recommend consulting with your doctor to make your decision.

Can I mix Sparkle powders with hot beverages?

Yes you can - warm water or hot tea are good choices.

 

Is Sparkle safe?

Sparkle is manufactured in compliance with the cGMP quality manufacturing regulations as required by the FDA rulings covering the manufacturing of dietary supplements.

These cGMP regulations have been established by the FDA with the aim to ensure that dietary supplements are manufactured to the highest quality standard, and the manufacturing of Sparkle meets those regulations and standards.

Product Packaging & Storage

Where is Sparkle made?

Sparkle is made in the USA. 

 

What is the packaging made from?

Depending on the product, Sparkle uses either #1 PET or #2 HDPE in our bottled products and Biotre semi-compostable plastic in our pouch products. All are considered safe.

 

Are your containers BPA-free?

The material used in our packaging are BPA free.

 

What tamper evidence seals are present Sparkle products?

There will be one tamper evidence seals on a newly purchased Sparkle product that comes in a bottle, which is an inner seal under the lid that is covering the mouth of the bottle. This seal is not visible until you have removed the lid.

For the powder products, you should be careful when opening the inner seal so as not to spill the contents of the tub.

If you receive a new tub or bottle that is missing the seal, or a seal has been tampered with, please contact us. You should not consume the contents of a tub that has arrived with a damaged or missing seal.

 

Is there a serving spoon inside a bottle of Sparkle powder?

Yes, every bottle of Sparkle powder supplements ships with a serving spoon.

Depending on the product, a serving could be a single scoop or two or three scoops. You should check the details on the product packaging to confirm the numbers of scoops to use. 

Please note that the spoon size varies from product to product, given different serving sizes. This includes within the different flavors in the Skin Boost and Skin Boost Plus ranges. You should use the spoon that comes with the specific product you are using.

 

What is the expiration date of Sparkle?

The expiry date will be printed on the Sparkle product. At time of manufacture there is between 24 to 36 months of shelf life.

 

I didn't refrigerate my Sparkle, is it still good?

Sparkle products do not require refrigeration before or after opening. However you should store Sparkle away from extreme temperatures and in a dry location. A cool dry place is best.

Purchasing & Shipping

Where can I buy Sparkle?

Currently, Sparkle is sold on the Sparkle website and on Amazon.com.

 

What countries does Sparkle ship to?

We do not offer shipping to all countries.  The current list of countries that we ship to can be found on the bottom of the cart page in the "Shipping Rate Calculator".

We recommend, for locations outside of the USA, that you should clarify the import restrictions for your country in regard to mail ordering dietary supplements prior to placing an order, as the import restrictions vary country by country.

Note: some countries also impose import duties on products being shipped to them.

 

Does Sparkle ship to Military APO addresses?

We can ship to Military APO addresses.

 

How long will it take to process and ship my order?

If ordering from the Sparkle website the product will be shipped within 1 to 2 days.  

For US domestic shipments, with the shipment originating in Texas, the shipping time will vary depending on your proximity to Texas. 

    For international destinations, the shipping time is typically in the order of 10 to 14 days.

    If ordering from Amazon.com, there is a range of shipping options, please check Amazon's site for details.

     

    Where do I find my order tracking number?

    Your order number will be presented to you a number of times:

    1. When completing the order, the order number will be on the thank you page.
    2. In an order confirmation email
    3. If you have created a user account on the Sparkle website, then you can login to your account, and look up order details in your history of orders.

     

    Can I cancel or modify my order?

    My tub of Sparkle has arrived, but it seems to be only half full?

    Some Sparkle powder products do fill their bottles to only about half way, however there will be the full count of serves using the spoon that is inside the container.
