Sparkle With Hummus

Sparkle With Hummus

What are you snacking on today? We love dipping cucumber sticks into homemade hummus to satisfy the mid-day munchies, plus some Sparkle Skin Boost in soda water for a fizzy beauty beverage.

Tip: read our suggestion on how to add Sparkle to sparkling water before doing so for the first time. Surprisingly, there is a trick to getting it right!

The key to making your own smooth and tasty hummus is the proportion of garbanzo beans to olive oil and water.

Recipe:

  • 2 cups cooked garbanzo beans
  • ¾ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • Juice of half a large lemon
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 tablespoons water

If your hummus still seems a bit gritty, just add water bit by bit till you get the consistency you want.

Before serving, drizzle a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle some smoked paprika powder on top.

Hummus is one of the easiest (healthiest) things to make and you can customize it by adding all sorts of herbs and spices. A big batch like this lasts about 3-4 days in our home and it’s great in wraps or with rice crackers.
