Skin Cleansing Smoothie

If you’ve had an indulgent holiday season and it has affected your skin — look no further than the pantry to make a truly cleansing green drink that will help flush out toxins from your body and restore radiance to your skin. Here’s why:

This multi-green smoothie recipe not only has spinach and kale, but it also includes detoxifying ingredients like parsley and mint especially.

Cucumber and coconut water will return much-needed moisture to your body, especially if you have been imbibing in alcohol.

A lemon contains 187% of your daily vitamin C requirement plus it helps to ward off inflammation so it’s crucial to include this in a cleansing tonic.

And a scoop of collagen peptide powder revs up your natural collagen production levels to help stave off dull skin.

Recipe:

  • 1½ cups of coconut water
  • 2-3 sprigs of parsley
  • 2 big leaves of kale
  • 1 handful spinach
  • 2-3 sprigs of fresh mint leaves
  • 1 apple
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 small cucumber
  • 1-inch knob of ginger
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • 1 scoop of Sparkle Skin Boost with Verisol

Tip: Put in the coconut water and greens first if you do not have a powerful high-speed blender. Once smooth, pop in the rest of the ingredients and you’ll get a silky green drink.
